"Littluns was recommended to us by a close friend who's little boy attended. She couldn't praise it enough & when we started our search for childcare for Emma, she took us straight here! Having visited a few nurseries I couldn't imagine leaving Emma at any of them. Our first impression of Littluns was fantastic - spotless big bright rooms full of beautiful toys (plus a closet full of additional ones) with a separate dining room, miniscule toilet for the little ones & a spacious garden with lots of outside play toys. A group of very happy children were playing in the garden & being looked after by warm & caring staff - we immediately decided this was the right place for Emma! The setting is amazing, Karen & the girls really care about each child individually, the children are not merely babysat & there are age appropriate curriculum's in place. There are supervised activities that take place daily - music, singing, arts, crafts & the carers put a lot of effort into preparing these. The small numbers of children ensure they receive a lot of personal attention together with nutritious, tasty, home cooked meals (Emma eats better here than at home!) Our Daughter is truly happy at Littluns & adores everyone there. Each morning she can't wait to go to nursery, see her friends & have fun - at the weekends she seems disappointed not to be going! Karen puts in a lot of effort arranging extra activities such as charity events, trips to panto, parties & children's performances as well as mums nights out & monthly newsletters. " I returned to work when Izzy was 5 and a half months old, 18 months ago, and we have not looked back. Littluns was our first (and only) nursery we looked at. We knew instantly it was the right one for our daughter. It is totally unique, providing reliable childcare in a lovely homelike nursery setting. From day one Karen's attitude was caring, loving and supportive (to both us and Izzy). She worked with us to maintain Izzy's sleep routine, adjust from breast to bottle feeding and later to wean. "Littluns Day Care is wonderful!! Many years ago I faced the prospect of returning to work & seeking childcare for Liam who was just 9 months old, it was a necessity I wasn't looking forward to but I needn't have worried. The whole team are knowledgeable, professional & really do genuinely care about the children! Littluns is an extension of our home & they are always there to offer help & support with all aspects of 'growing up' from potty training to teaching children nice manners & behaviour. Liam is now at big school but happily returns during the school holidays and my second son Joseph, 21 months has been in attendance since he too was 9 months old. We are so happy that we found Littluns all those years ago. Each week is filled with singing, storytime, learning & messy play & very importantly, building relationships with other children. Each child is treated individually enabling their confidence to grow - friends often comment how sociable they are with others. The Daily Care Sheets are invaluable and give a detailed account of their day at Littluns which allows us not to feel we're missing out too much on the new things they have learnt. "We would never have heard of Littluns if it were not for a friend of ours who lives nearby & who's daughter attends. It really is a hidden gem! The setting is bright, airy, clean & a very happy environment for any child. Before we started, like any new parents, we were worried about food, sleeping, Alicia's routines, likes & dislikes etc., but everyone at Littluns have been great in meeting the needs of our little girl & continually adapting to her ever changing needs.
